Piano Lessons

January/March -Recital at the Montgomery Place in Hyde Park 

Students participation is recommended (For levels 2 and up only)

 

March-Musical gatherings in Hyde Park

August-Family and Friends Picnic Day

 

October-Fall Recital and we will be visiting The Hyde Park Suzuki Institute for a "Halloween" concert.

    

November-Students' rehearsals. Students prepare for our annual

Winter Recital

 

December-Piano Finger'sWinter Recital

Performances held on the 3rd Saturday in Dec.at Carter G.Woodson Library. 

Homework will be provided every two weeks after the lessons. Students must complete their assignments. Parental participation and support is encouraged, 

it's an important part of the students overall success.
 

Homework Assignments

Ages 3-6
One written assignment and two practice music sheets.      
Practice Time: 30: min

 

Ages 7 and up

Two written assignment and three practice music sheets.      

Practice Time: 45: min
We take into consideration the students regular homework from school before assigning additional homework.

Year End Recitals

The purpose of our recitals is to develop performance skills and provide an opportunity to demonstrate what the student has learned. Each year our students perform their holiday music in front of an audience of parents, family and friends. They are accompanied by professional musicans to provide a real time music experience, which helps to build self esteem and improve confidence.  It's their special time to create a memorable moment and show off their accomplishments.
